Hello Josep, I found your article interesting which make me think about possible reason, and create other questions.
Coincidentally there were a program in TV about Spanish in the world. The place this time was in New Zealand. The main question was: ” why did you choose to live in such a far away country”?
There were different answer between them the following:
1) I found the city of Barcelona overcrowed and people are agressive. Here there is so much space and people are more kind and there is no stress.
2) I love my country and the fact I left doesn’t mean I will not go back, the world is big and it is good to see it.
3) Many people reply for love, osea, they fall in love with someone in the country and decide to leave there and create a family there.
Referring to question one, is what is happening at the moment in the great city such as London, Rome, Paris, barcelona, ecttt.
People in the country such as New Zealand, Australia leave the country to see the world, especially because they are far away! People in countryside such as Costarica, Argentina, Cuba escape from their country to Europe, because the situation is bad and they think they can find possibility in Europe, America or other well devolopped country. People from Africa immagrates because they think they will find GOLD in Europe, but then the reality is different.
The crisis is well happenining to make some good changes.
Globalism is make us loosing our identity, maybe this is one of the reason why we do raggrupate in one city. Thinking about yesterday and our discussion, where you mentioned the hidden necessity which companies such as mobiles, they found the hidden necessity for us to stay connected, which is truth because mobile can actually be very useful. But then I would say the Globalisation is stimulating our inner “devil” who see the world as a material place, and leave the inner growth aside. Some times ago I went to Cuba where they really don’t have anything closer to Mcdonalds, sturbucks or whatever big chain… Very few cars, road not crowded, people on horses, children play outside with anythign they could find. A real pleasure to look at. Of course I do not agree to a country where you cannot travel whenever you want, and maybe cuban people are tired of this situation. But certainly people who grew up in countryside have a different value of a people grew up in a city. City children spend their time in front of the nintendo, people in the country side spend their time in the nature. Soo when a countryside person go to the city to find more possibility and have experience, stay a little bit shocked about the difference… then a person who grew up in a city and go to a country side is delighted to such a beautiful and tranquo life. So like in antropology…if you need to find yourself you need to get out of yourself and be in someone else position to really understand who you are and what you want. Is this what is happening to humanity? We are all part of nature……

I qui és el valent de tots els que habitem a les ciutats que agafa el necessari, regala el que no s’endu i emigra a terres menys estressades? El model no ens es favorable i nosaltres ens hem tornat massa conformistes . Els nostres treballs “estables” no accepten cap altra formula que anar cada dia a que ens vegin el clatell a la feina. Cal ser molt valent per trencar amb aquesta falsa estabilitat i benestar.
M’agradaria pensar que els joves no cauran en els nostres errors, i en aquest sentit penso educar els meus fills. Cal qüestionar-se el model, no acceptar les situacions com a éssers sense voluntat ni judici i no perdre mai la rebel•lia. Es bo, molt bo, posar-ho tot en dubte abans de triar ja que així encara que t’equivoquis el queda el regust d’haver-te equivocat tu sol.
Benvinguts els que viuen feliços a Terranova! Segur que no és fàcil però qui diu que la felicitat sigui gratis? Tant de bo tingues el coratge de deixar-ho tot enrere, agafar marit i nens i emigrar cap a la felicitat amb mi mateixa! Felicito a tots aquells que ho han sabut fer i els hi pregaria que compartissin la recepta!

Espero i desitjo que la tendència sigui la de la no aglomeració. Tanmateix, sembla que encara anem per la via contraria, tot aplegat i concentrat, tot a prop.
Com a societat encara no ens hem adonat que les tecnologies actuals ens permeten ser eficients en la distància.
Potser la concentració acabarà sent símptoma de societats encara primitives i la dispersió símptoma de societat adultes, tecnològicament avançades i desenvolupades
